Staying safe on the internet is a task that many tend to find easy, when it actually is not. Threats are everywhere on the internet, just waiting for unsuspecting victims to fall for their traps. It is easy for someone to acquire a virus that they can use on others. The thing that requires the skill, is usually getting someone to download and run this virus. Often times this skill is refereed to as social engineering, which is essentially the act of tricking/deceiving someone into doing something. Their tricks they use are not always that mind blowing. Once you know about the tricks they use it is easier to avoid them in the future.
Hopefully by reading onward you will get an understanding of some of the common tricks used. And I use the word ‘some’ because, there are so many tricks out there that people can use on you, that you really just need to use caution whenever approaching new situations.
